Fourie Revai is a registered legal practitioner with more than ten years’ experience in a women’s rights organization whose focus is access to justice and transformative justice (Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association). She holds a bachelor of laws honours degree (LLB Hons – University of Zimbabwe 2008) and a Masters in Women’s Law Southern and East African Regional Centre for Women’s Law – University of Zimbabwe 2013.
Her duties involve court representation of indigent women, development of training material, coordinating implementation of programmes and training of women and other groups on women’s rights issues. She is also involved in research and consultancies.
Through the current employment at ZWLA Fourie has been engaging in training female parliamentarians on some pieces of legislation so as to strengthen their capacity on pushing for women’s rights in the legislative process. Has participated in the process of analysing different laws affecting women.
Fourie Revai currently sits on the HOSPAZ board, an organisation that offers palliative care in Zimbabwe and Women and Land in Zimbabwe, an organisation working on land rights in Zimbabwe. She has a
passion in women’s rights and has vast exposure in human rights advocacy through participating in regional and international platforms.
